Thanks everybody, who answered my question on the FTP-Server.
I bought serv-u from Deerfield.
Reasonble price and fast support.
Fast support I missed with the WAR-FTP-guys. But what can you expect when
s.th. is free ?
But in that case I prefer to buy a SW for 40 USD and have a little support
rather than a free SW with absolutely no support.

No contest: serv-u, www.cat-soft.com , even for W2K. Inexpensive, with
daily support from Rob the developer in the serv-u list. Version 3 is in
the works. The next would be ipswitch's ftp server but it's $400, cheaper
from mail order.
