Agreed. I've been using Serv-U for many years. It even encrypts users
passwords so once set even the FTP administrator doesn't know what they are
(unless they document it).

No contest: serv-u, www.cat-soft.com , even for W2K.  Inexpensive, with
daily support from Rob the developer in the serv-u list.  Version 3 is in
the works.  The next would be ipswitch's ftp server but it's $400, cheaper
from mail order.
