Some people may reply with numbers, but if I were you I would hesitate to quote any numbers to your client until the application is built and you have load tested it. There's simply no other way to gauge how any specific application may perform under load. I know that some clients insist on knowing how much load it can take, but without testing it, there is literally no other way to tell.
Also, there use to be a CF5 Preformance Brief similar to the CFMX one found here: http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/whitepapers/ If you can't locate a copy of it, let me know, I think I may have one saved on my home machine (but I will have to get it tonight). -Cameron ----------------- Cameron Childress Sumo Consulting Inc. --- cell: 678-637-5072 aim: cameroncf email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > -----Original Message----- > From: Howie Hamlin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, November 19, 2002 1:12 PM > To: CF-Talk > Subject: ColdFusion practical limits > > > I need to provide a big client with the practical limits of > ColdFusion 5 running on a Windows 2000 server.
