Clearly the higher the specification of a SQL Server machine the
better, but what is the concensus for the spec (number of CPU's, RAM
etc..) of a server which does nothing but use IIS and CF to serve the
Web pages, and for say light, medium and heavy volume sites?

Whereas for SQL Server you would always use hardware RAID (preferably
RAID 10, budget permitting), I would think a dedicated IIS/CF machine
would be fine with just a mirrored pair of disks for resilience as
most I/O requests will be on the read side?
