Will be interesting to see what kind of traction BlueDragon gets in the marketplace. And if it suceeds, what kind of pricing pressure this puts on MM. And one could argue that if it causes sufficient pricing pressure, MM might have to respond in a way that reduces their revenue and therefore cash available for future enhancements to CF.

This finally kills dead all of that php/asp 'but its free' garbage, which never had any validity in the first place. All sorts of implications here. Sure would like to see a lot of new cfml developers enter the world as we know it. Interesting times :) -------------------------------------------- Matt Robertson [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSB Designs, Inc. http://mysecretbase.com -------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Vince Bonfanti [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, February 21, 2003 6:59 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: FREE BlueDragon Server Released! Yes, absolutely it extends to a production box. You may use the BlueDragon Server free edition however you want, for no charge. The only thing you can't do is redistribute it--for that you'll need an OEM/VAR agreement (pricing will be very reasonable, or even free depending on what you want to do).
