Ahh, but the answer is not that simple on the death of ColdFusion Studio.

1) You cannot buy ColdFusion Studio or its successor, Homesite+, for any
price separate from Dreamweaver.
2) There has not been a new feature release of CFS/HS+ for 3 years.
3) There has been no marketing for the product for 2 years.
4) There is no MX version of the product, unlike all of the other developer
products from Macromedia.
5) There is no development center at DevNet for CF Studio/Homesite+
6) There is no additional support for some of the new functionality in CFMX
(xml, components, etc), some of which does have additional support in DWMX.

I'd say those were compelling arguments towards the death of ColdFusion
Studio.

What I hope that folks would do is take the time to go here and provide
feedback to Macromedia:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/email/wishform/?6213=6

It seems to me that more ground will be gained by requesting enhancements to
DW to meet your needs that are currently met in CF Studio, as the above
points to a lot more ground to gain in suggesting they revise CF Studio. Not
to mention DWMX has come a long way, and doesn't have too much further to
go.

But in any case, if the lack of a productivity enhancing and supported IDE
for CFML bothers you, click the above link and let MM know!

Hope this helps,

Calvin
