I understand the importance of VARing variables created for function purposes - but I'm not getting where they belong in the grand scheme of things. I'm fine w/ the UDF/cfscript style, it's the tag-based CFFUNCTION style that's tripping me up. Does it belong before or after CFARGUMENT's? Can they be created in the middle of the function code somewhere?
