It'll be much easier if you use SQL as the engine to import the
data.........

Subject: SQL Server Virgin seeks advice

I'm (trying to!) upsize my first access db to a sql7 db but I'm having a
small problem which I *think* must be something basic but I can't get my
head around it at all.

The upsize seems to go ok but when I view the data that has been imported by
the wizard, three of the tables have no data imported and have this error.

"query based insertion or updating of BLOB values cannot be supported"

I *think* it has something to do with the memo fields that each of these
tables have. The wizard has created the memo fields as ntext (16).

Can anyone explain what is happening here and possibly how to fix/get round
this?

I've searched MS technet for this error and the only thing I can find is a
reference to visual interdev (which I am not familiar with at all) and left
me none the wiser. Apologies in advance for OT post.

Thanks
     Brian
