Yes it will be quicker, the more so for bigger qty's of html. Thats why
I specified the site map page as an example.
This isn't the prettiest page, but it is 214k of html.

I'm using cf_gzippage with a max setting of 9 on it. The html pops
right up, which gives the users something to look at while the images
fill in.
This one has no images:

178k, same settings and, for me, it displays nearly instantly.
