I was teaching, but I think a lot of people replied. In short: This is
a client thing and you can't force it. You can try by serving the file
with cfcontent:
<cfheader name="Content-Disposition" value="attachment;
filename=#filename#">
<cfcontent type="application/unknown" file="#pathToFile#"
deletefile="No">
This will usually trigger the open/save as dialog
