The thing is I can get a killer deal on a unit I can walk out the door with at CompUSA.. All I need for about 1100, and I don't have to take on excess baggage like a monitor. Toruble is all those storebought systems run XP Home. Doing a custom build at Dell yields no less than 1200 for a compact unit that I could actually lug around if I really had to... what I really want is a laptop as a desktop replacement but I'm not willing to get beat up on the price and take the concurrent hit on performance.
