FYI - I have confirmed that it is CFServer as even when the spool folder is empty, all the ports are still in 'listening' status and if I restart cold fusion, they all clear and are free again. Thought this bit of info may help also.

Hi, I'm still running on CF 5.0 and can't upgrade at the moment and I've found that CFSERVER is using all my ports to send mail. Is this a known bug with CF 5.0 and is it fixed in MX? Or could something else be causing it. I've used FPORT to determine what process is using the ports. Eventually, it uses all the ports and the server can no longer make any new outbound connections. Here's a snippet from an FPORT listing so you can see what it looks like. It's almost like it uses a port once, but doesn't 'release' it or something as it stays listening, then it uses another one and so on until it runs out, then it starts spooling all the mail to the undeliverable folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! rbblast is the name of the server: TCP rbblast:4912 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4913 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4914 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4915 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4916 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4917 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4918 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4919 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4920 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4921 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4922 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4923 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4924 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4925 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4926 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4927 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4928 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4929 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4930 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4931 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4932 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4933 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4934 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4935 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4936 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4937 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4938 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4939 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4940 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4941 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4942 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4943 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4944 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4945 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4946 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4947 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4948 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4949 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4950 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4951 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4952 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4953 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4954 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4955 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4956 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4957 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4958 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4959 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4960 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4961 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4962 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4963 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4964 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4965 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4966 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4967 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4968 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4969 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4970 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4971 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4972 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4973 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4974 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4975 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4976 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4977 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4978 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4979 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4980 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4981 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4982 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4983 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4984 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4985 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4986 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4987 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4988 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4989 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4990 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4991 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4992 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4993 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4994 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4995 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4996 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4997 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4998 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:4999 rbblast:0 LISTENING TCP rbblast:5000 rbblast:0 LISTENING Sincerely, Dave Phillips BizBreeze.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] 615-746-3851 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Logware: a new and convenient web-based time tracking application.
