I have had the same problem - with several versions of CF - CF4.5, CF5.0, CF6.1, they all do it. I thought it was some kind of functionality thing that I didn't understand the point of, but was necessary for some reason or another.
I would think that if it were a bug, then it would have been fixed long ago....
