Well, first WDDX is not in itself a tool, it's standardized XML format. So for you to use WDDX to grab the file, it would need to be a valid WDDX type xml file.
When the customer posts the XML file to you Cold Fusion page you will need to parse out the XML file and as I recall, doing that in CF5 is a big pain.
