That 7MB limit seems pretty arbitrary...I've never seen anything like that from MACR or MSFT. Sounds kind of like they are trying to push their SQL Server add-on by coming up with "technical" roadblocks. As much bashing as Access gets, I ran many a system with databases much larger than that on it back in the day, with nary a peep.
