Last year's CFUnited was my first.  I'd suggest you take notes at the
presos, and try not to get overwhelmed.  There is a TON of information
available, and it can feel like drinking from a fire hose.  If you go to
the conference and pick up at least two or three major things that
improve how you work, I'd consider it a success.  For example, you may
not be using CFCs.  If you get some good advice on using them, and then
when you get back you put it into practice, you had a successful
conference.

Oh, and there's that networking thing.  One thing I'm going to do
differently this year is not be too worried about attending a session
every hour.  I would try to hit most of them, but if an hour doesn't
have anything interesting, don't feel guilty about hanging out in the
common area and chatting with other attendees and/or employees from the
big companies.
