I recently discovered, that mySQL DSN's do not work with sandboxing enabled unless you implicitly specify the IP:port in the default security sandbox.

Despite hours of tooling around, all I get is "Data source mysqlcf_MrBuzzy could not be found". I can also cause a null pointer and a sql/sandbox access denied message.
