I have found Google Analytics to increase load time making my pages slower.
Has anyone found a solution to this?

This must no longer be true; I just set up Analytics last month on our SSL
site and after searching their online help for "SSL" and following the
instructions, all is working well.

Unfortunately, the SSL portion of Google Analytics is slightly broken. They
have SSL set up so that you can fetch their files, but their certificate
doesn't match the URL used to fetch the files.
