I don't think anyone has used a pure java solution start-to-finish in CF so the question is moot because is still annoying to use java while CF is so easy. I like starting a DB connections in java and using cfquery to display the results. I like cfhttp but use java to skip over text. I use java to load drivers on my share host and add enterprise DBs without DBA's poking around (super private DBing) while serializing CFquery objects to the hard drive. I use java to fill in the empty space and move on to the next idea.
