Yeah, well I have a row of 8 switches and I program every byte in
binary manually :P

OK, seriously, DW does allow full source editing, in the code window.
It doesn't rewrite things if you don't let it and it has most of the
features you'd see in other products.

Turn off the design view and you've got a serious code editor.
