Ben, That is a cool method! I guess that was too much of a blanket statment for me to say the logging would be all messed up. Google Analytics would definitely a good way to go with the CF only method. I use Smarter Stats on my server and it removes all of the 404's from the stats when it parses the IIS logs but other stats options might not.
