As of a couple of days ago, being 6+ weeks behind on a project that I was going to run on my new framework has made me put it (framework development) on hold, and I picked up MG:U and began studying it. I have found precisely what you were saying to be true. By studying the MG:U framework, and by working with it, many more things (including controllers, traffic cops, etc) are becoming quite clear. And, like you said, by focusing more on the model itself, it's 1) alleviating most of the headaches, and 2) helping me understand the other portions soooooooo much better.
