ISTM you are generalizing your experiences with MySQL & Linux to 
databases & Linux. The majority of databases on Linux do not suffer from 
the issues you describe.

Further, you are recommending any Access DB to be converted to MySQL. 
Why would MySQL be the best choice for any conversion?
