My guess is that a lot (most?) of the runtime difference between CF7 and 8 is down to the JVM; Java 6 is faster than 5 and a *lot* faster than 4. FWIW, we're running both CF7 and 8. and have run 7 with (Sun) Java 6 pretty much since it released, without any problems at all: I'd guess that macradobe warnings on that are mostly to cover themselves. -- Regards, Pete Jordan Horus Web Engineering Ltd http://www.webhorus.net/ phone: +44 1275 543971 mobile: +44 7973 725120 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:308463 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
