Mark and Casey, Thanks for clarifying this for me. I don't own the SQL Server that I need to hit, so it looks like I'm between a rock and a hard place.
I still don't think the TIMEOUT parameter is working, though. In my example, I'm hitting a database that is fully operational, and I have a query that runs for about 3.5 seconds. However, I have the TIMEOUT param set to 1, so shouldn't it time out in exactly 1 second and return an error? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:321612 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
