I'm after recommendations based on my current predicament.

I'm assisting with the move of a web server. The new platform is Windows
Server 2008 with IIS 7, and the currently provided version of Coldfusion
is 5. Yes, version 5!!!!

My questions are:

Is there a way to manually configure coldfusion 5 for use with IIS 7
(when installing it fails to recognise IIS 7 as a web server so I'm
forced to use the default). I know this can be manually done with MX but
not so sure about CF5. I've added the appropriate handlers and script
mappings to no avail.

If that's not a viable option, I see my alternatives as follows:

* Convince the client to update their particular CF version.
* Look at another web server option like Apache.
* Look at Railo as an alternative if upgrading is out of the question.

At the moment if I can't get it to run on IIS 7 I'm leaning towards the
Apache option.

Be aware I have very little experience with both Apache and Railo, but
am not afraid to learn if necessary, however I'm looking for the most
efficient option to get this thing up and running (in the short term
obviously, but I don't want to make any significant long term sacrifices
either).

Thoughts and recommendations welcome.

TIA
Mark
