Pan;
At the moment, for outside run sites (those that are archived only and I
don't run - of which in BETA there are none, that will change in 7 days),
there is no way to change your personal information.

The system pulls apart from sections of the email, and updates dynamically
the name based on previous emails. (so if 2 posts ago your email system
called you Jennifer, and last night you changed it to read Jenny - the
system will automatically correct the database to now read Jenny).

The affiliated web site is simply the end extension of your email address.
So, if you utilize a Hotmail account, then your affiliated web site is hot
mail.

In most cases, as seen from the Ipswitch Imail test, common posters to a
list, and those that are the most knowledgeable tend to utilize an email
that will link to their website and generate traffic to them.

Remember, the reason I built version one of this system (this is two) was to
build a better search system for archived posts (hurray!), second - to add
recognition to those people that are truly helpful to a community by
counting posts and allowing posts to be rated, and third - to increase
recognition of the lists themselves. Owners of archived lists have their web
site URL and list page on every archived page, and can have their logo on
the archive section for free too! Check out HKS-Imail Admin Archive as an
example on TallyList.

None of this archiving is a for-charge service. I am looking for more lists
to archive, and if anyone has a favorite, or runs an active list, please
forward an email with some info.

All accounts have passwords generated for them (indeed, a password for each
list and each email, so if you have posted to several lists - you already
have several passwords) - for a time when I will have third party ability to
modify information or link all the accounts.

The world of List-Email seems way underdeveloped, and this is my project for
the next couple of months.

Given that - your thoughts about modifying user information, even for
archived (non-hosted) lists will be given some thought.

Thanks for the quick email,

Stephen.

Very nice app.
A question: How can a person listed as a poster to cf-talk
edit their personal information - (you have the wrong associated
web site for me :) )
