Can't think of a way to globally disable multiple clicks. Do you use jQuery on your site at all? Do you use Application.cfc or Application.cfm? If Application.cfc, adding the link disabler or status dialog could be done by modifying your onRequest() method to insert some script tags into the head of each requested page.
