I could have saved them a TON of trouble by letting them know that Flash wasn't going to make it the first time I had a look at it. I came from a video editing background and it was very similar with the use of the timeline. And it was extremely labor intensive, as is video production (especially at first when it was just an animation generator). So much so that I knew no one was going to pay enough money for the labor it required just to produce something "flashy" :o) for their site. I WANTED to use it, but just couldn't justify the cost of the software, the charges to a client, nor the time it took me to create something that wouldn't even run on all interfaces equally.
I just had the realization, long before Adobe about it, that it was going to fail in the end.
