There is currently NO MAIL going through the box I am refering to. (Special
thanks to those who went the extra mile and looked into my web address and
recommended stuff, but I am at a different clients right now... :-))

I am not trying to use a mail client to send/receive, I only want a CF
server to generate mail.

Jim

:hmm: Theoretically (if you get your e-mail through the company) you
should be able to run through the settings
on your mail client and discover the name of it. It is probably:

    crossdraw.com (or)
    mail.crossdraw.com

Although, it doesn't have to be something like that. An interesting note
is that most of my ISPs have had their
mail servers set up, so you could send mail through them without first
authenticating with the server. Since I use
netscape mail (I can't speak of Outlook), this allows me to sign on, send
mail, and sign off. The server doesn't
authenticate me unless I try to download mail.

Theoretically, you could pick any e-mail server that will allow you to do
this, although it's not recommended
because that is akin to spamming.

I have used winmail in the past, which I believe is a windows version of
sendmail. I can't remember if it's
just a gateway (I.E. takes mail and passes it onto a real mail server) or a
complete mail server.

I thought it was 'security by obscurity.' Perhaps someone else can
verify? You may ignore my previous
rantings if you desire.
