Basically, FileMaker's ODBC drives are a piece of crap. There use to be a
tech note on FileMaker website recommending to not use ODBC connectivity in
a multi-user environment....
It's not a matter of ColdFusion or another language, the driver is the
issues.

If you really have to stick with FileMaker, the only solution I would trust
is Lasso, since they have native connectivity and they are definitely
focused on FileMaker, you can find Lasso at:

More in general I try to avoid FileMaker as much as I can, since I see it
more as a toy than a real database, but certain customers simply love it...
