The customer gets sent to WorldPay's site to perform the credit card authorisation, then they get sent back to a designated page on your site (you can customise the appearance of the WorldPay page to make it look like part of your site.) They only have to do this once and WorldPay remember the details for use in future months. You pay a slice of every transaction to WorldPay, but you might decide it's worth it for the peace of mind and convenience.
