I am using 5.0 and have no problems with cfhttp in secure mode until this
case.
I think the real problem is that cfhttp and redirection or js just don't
play nicely.

I have tried something very similiar but the problem is that any cfhttp
grabs the page before the js
operates (of course - how can it do otherwise. it doesn't  know that a few
msec's later the page wants to do something) so cfhttp'ing to a page with js
is, I think, fatally flawed. I don't think you can combine client side stuff
with cfhttp (Please prove me wrong I would love it if you would).
