I'd suggest using a tool that was actually designed to do a stress test.
Your results will have a much greater chance of being relevant.

To draw a parallel with stress testing web applications, it's the difference
between using a load tester such as Seque Silk Performer and getting
everyone in your office to "click reload a whole bunch of times".

Of course, there are a whole bunch of points in between those two, but a
stress test is far less relevant if it's not simulating the way you are
actually planning on applying the technology.  If you are planning on doing
a test, you should be willing to invest a little time and energy in it.
Otherwise you are probably better of not doing the test at all because the
results are likely to lead you in the wrong direction.
