The Allaire Java applets were written for a newer version of Java than the Microsoft JVM supports. Since Microsoft has discontinued development on the JVM, you'll need to download and install the Sun JRE. First, however, you'll need to delete the Microsoft JVM from your system. To do this, go to following location: c:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE Delete all of the directories within the JRE directory. I actually just prefixed the directories with an underscore character. That seemed to be enough to "hide" them from Internet Explorer. Once you've done this, install the Sun JRE. You can do this by downloading it from http://java.sun.com/. I think I actually just went back to the Web page with the Allaire Java applets and was prompted to download and install the JVM. Try removing the colheaders line. I had this problem as well and it cost me over 200US in Single Incident calls to fix. Make sure you have the updated Tags for CFSTUDIO 4.5.2 for CF Server 5.0. It is messing up with some attribute that is included in your CFGRID statement. As long as you try to connect multiple clients to the .cfm page and they all fail, then it is probably the CFGRID tag.
