Yes, imagine my dismay when I discovered my host wasn't on 5, and therefore didn't support custom functions. I'm in the process of moving the site. Comments on the code are welcome, it should be documented and someday I want to write an article describing what I did and why I did it. Theoretically, you should be able to use the concepts I used to write a true XML parser.
