The joys of partial releases.

I've just clarified things with my supervisor who happens to like .Net quite
a bit...

The Framework, and Studio ARE official.  There is no .Net server as of yet,
but it's coming.  But the .Net server is not required to build or run .Net
apps.  So, that blows my arguments out of the water.

It's a good day... I learned something today....

That's not really correct. The .NET Framework is official, and available.
You can't get it bundled with Windows, but that doesn't make it unofficial.
