This isn't exactly the case. With the CF MX Enterprise server now available, you can deploy JSP pages and servlets, but not EJBs. However, you could conceivably use another server for that - I haven't tried this myself yet, but JBoss (http://www.jboss.org/) looks like a good possibility. In addition, there are a bunch of other J2EE services that you can't use from the current version of CF MX without getting an additional J2EE server. > A later version of CFMX will not include 1 above, but not 2. > CFMX will be installed on top of a J2EE application server > (the Full JRun product or a third-party J2EE Application > server) > > with this second environment, you can deploy and interface > CFMX and J2EE components on a single J2EE Application server. > > In other words, you won't need to Run Full JRun and > Stripped-Down-JRun in order to get full J2EE deployment > capability Yes, this is true. I think that there are currently plans to release versions of CF MX for JRun 4, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, and Sun ONE, but I'm not sure about all of those. > Is there an easier way to say this? No, not really, I don't think.
