You know. I have LDAP on my list of things to get more familiar with.
Can you recommend an easily configurable, free, and open source LDAP server?

I appreciate your response - I really need to get in the habit of reading my
emails before I send them. I think I had 6 trains of thought going on there.

Eric,
We are currently using LDAP for defining users into various roles.
If they belong to multiple roles LDAP passes each role they play to me
and I present them with a CFM generated page listing their various roles
then ask them to choose one. Once the choice is made I send them to their
proper location.
