Yeah - for what it's worth I've read through it in "Design Patterns" 
but I'm
still batting way below .500 on understanding that book.  ;^)
If it helps, the "Template Method" pattern was what I showed in my 
response with the baseDB CFC and the various DB-specific derived CFCs.
