AFAIK, simply invoking or instantiating an instance doesn't cost hardly anything - inActually, there is more overhead than just creating a reference (there are no pointers in CF or indeed Java). However, it doesn't matter how much overhead there is if the performance is acceptable for your application.
fact, it may only create a reference or a pointer - maybe someone else could answer
that (i've been studying a little Java, thank you Mr. Helms). I've sat and timed it
and it was always 0 ms.
