You can use CFSETTING to set the page timeout to whatever you need. I'm not sure what the rules on the event gateways in CF7 are with regards to timeouts. I'd imagine it's the same though. Well, the same that there's a hard timeout, but it's probably configured separate from the page timeout (and defaults to a higher value).
