I thought you guys might be interested in our next NYCFUG meeting, as Peter Bell will be repeating his Object Oriented Programming and Application Generators talk from cf.Objective(). The meeting is Tuesday, March 21st, at 6:30 PM, at the NYU Medical Center in Manhattan. Details are on our website, http://www.nycfug.org.

The description given for this presentation is:
Application generators are good for much more than CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete). And with Active generators, you can maintain everything from your DAOs (Data Access Objects) and business logic to your display layer, making changes in one place in the metabase -- not in multiple places in the code base. Let Peter Bell teach you more about the practicalities of writing an active application generator and how Object Oriented best practices change when 95% of the code becomes just another artifact. Code examples will be included.

In addition, Michael and I will be giving our thoughts on cf.Objective(). I don't know if you guys attended; we're very glad we did.

In addition, Epicenter Technology Consulting will be sponsoring, so there will be pizza, and we really need to know if you're coming. If you are, please RSVP on our website (http://www.nycfug.org).

Thanks,
