> yeah, I'll pay that but it's still not a 100% guarentee. If the Java XML parser in question is kept compliant with the XML DOM API, it's as close as you're going to get. That's really the whole point of the XML APIs - if you use a compliant parser, you know you'll get those methods that come with the API, plus whatever additional stuff is added by the vendor.
