Very short answer is that it more or less can work fine with POJOs.
No luck/no time to work on getting Hibernate to persist CFCs yet, but
a couple of people have contacted me recently with some new ideas, so
I may pick that project up again here in a bit and see where it goes.
I'll definitely keep everyone posted if these ideas bear fruit.

hi all

our group is picking up the Java (+JSP) reins so I'm wanting to (at
least start with) some simplier Java frameworks/techniques to use, and
as an ulterior motive, improve their CF practices (eg: introduce the
widespread take-up of CFC's)

which means finding/using similarities between them. two birds with one stone.

so....has anything become of CF's version of Hibernate?

PS: yeah, yeah, Spring/ColdSpring - natch.

PPS: watching a presso on EJB3 just before and a quote caught me
claiming that DAO's, Beans, et al, ... were "Evil"...that's a bit
_harsh_, isn't it?
