The new approach does exactly that. `isInvalidDecl()` is checked before calling 
`getASTRecordLayout()`, avoiding layout computation for invalid declarations. 
The checks are added in:
- `CheckConstructorCall()` — skip the alignment check
- `ComputeEmptySubobjectSizes()` — skip invalid bases/fields
- `CanPlaceFieldSubobjectAtOffset()` — return early for invalid declarations
