So i suspect the history here is: https://reviews.llvm.org/D26310 added a way to filter-out these clang analyzer checks, which removed these checks from being available in clang-tidy, but did not add an option (like in this differential) to get them back, so it was a clear regression. I'm going to accept this because of the reasoning in my previous comments here, but please wait for @alexfh or someone else to LGTM this too.
