Broadening the discussion for a moment: Chandler Desktop's occasional, unpredictable, sometimes deliberate ignorance of my selection is my #1 gripe with the application. A click on a collection does not select what I clicked. Responses to double-clicks are surprising. In triage table view, Chandler Desktop's highlight is _contrary_ to my intention/selection. Detail view too often details something _other_ than what I'm working on. And so on. Concerning these behaviours I was creating bugs and requests for enhancement in Bugzilla, but then I encountered at least one 2006 comment suggesting (if I'm not mistaken) that some of the behaviours that I now find strange/contrary are: by design. Since then I have noted a few more problems, but for as long as a few design issues are clarified, I'm refraining from entering all in OSAF Bugzilla. In the meantime <https://hub.chandlerproject.org/pim/collection/22402db8-d747-11dd-d846-0016cb98d507?ticket=h58zjd4i40> reflects some work in progress, including some buggy focus behaviours, but notes here are incomplete so please don't treat these as gospel. --- John, returning now to your /f find approaches: please be aware of bugs 12497, 12498 and 12499. I gather that at least one of these relates to buggy behaviour in relation to a found selection. I shan't attempt to abstract the various symptoms but one comment in particular <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12497#c9> reminds me that my introductions to 'Remove', 'Delete' and Trash were terribly confused by Chandler Desktop behaviour. My lesson learned: * be careful when actioning things that are found! YMMV. Bottom line: I'm aware of the limited resources that are available to developers during the re-architecture :) so whilst I'm bugging or at least noting things, I'm not expecting a rapid response to anything bugged.
