I like the idea, and I imagine extension and/or interop approaches.

==================
Keyword: extension
==================

<https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12669> wonders:

a) whether OSAF may take a 'collective'† approach to hosting of source code
etc. relating to extensions to Chandler products; and if so,

b) whether a keyword 'extension' may be applicable within OSAF Bugzilla.

================
Keyword: interop
================

Within OSAF Bugzilla this keyword already exists :)

If/when note-specific URLs and/or tickets are realised
<https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12670>
then it should be possible to link
        from any note in Chandler
        to some thing in another system
and vice versa.

An example of a system that might interoperate nicely with note-specific
URLs in Chandler Hub:

        IdeaTorrent
        http://www.ideatorrent.org/

        IdeaTorrent used very successfully by Ubuntu,
        http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/

        IdeaTorrent for OpenOffice.org Project Renaissance (envisaged as
complementary to RFEs and ideas for enhancement in Issuezilla),
        http://n2.nabble.com/-tp2118020p2173837.html

Without knowing anything about your departments, Chandler collections or
visitors: I would aim for the title/detail of each Chandler note to be
suitably descriptive, so that the note's Chandler _collections_ can:

* add extra value to that note, if the reader requires the extra

* (not be prerequisite, without which the note lacks meaning).

====================================
An extension to that interop example
====================================

I might want any one of the following events in IdeaTorrent to trigger a
change of triage/status in Chandler:

* significant peak in commenting activity

*       significant thumbs up

*       significant thumbs down.

Triggers and triage might be an extension to a Chandler product.

Regards
Graham

† The 'collective' expression is borrowed from Plone community; not to be
confused with 'collections' in Chandler.
