Ah, OK. That's similar to the way Gmail works with POP accounts. You can force a check for new mail from the settings page for accounts (not very intuitive) or you can just wait an indeterminate period of time for Gmail to check automatically. > Also, in Google Calendar, there seems to be no progress indicator > following > a refresh on demand.
